MyMac.com have published an independent and comprehensive review of the Perfect Diet Tracker app, awarding it 9 out of 10.
We see many reviews however a lot seem to simply copy and paste sections of the website and link to the product which we always appreciate, but it is nice to see a review where the author, David M. Acklam has taken the time to actually look at a product and review it.
If the review of our product is anything to go by, myMac.com would seem to be an excellent source of independent information for Mac users.
The Perfect Diet Tracker v3.7 and Tracker2Go v1.5.9 updates are now available for download direct from our website, or through the respective App stores.
The Perfect Diet Tracker 3.7 update improves performance and stability and fixes a number of small bugs.
The food database has been expanded to over 105,000 products and the quick search is now more responsive.
A Dropbox cloud sync feature has been added, enabling sync in both the Apple iPhone and Android versions of Tracker2Go.
As usual, this is a free upgrade. If you purchased the an ‘App Store’, including the Mac App Store or the Intel AppUp Center please visit these store to download your update. If you purchased a license for the software outside of an App Store (including directly from this website) you can download the latest version using the download links on this page.
Our next priority is updates to the Tracker2Go apps, expect more updates soon!
The Perfect Diet Tracker has now been certified to work with Windows 8.
No changes will be needed if you want to upgrade to Windows 8, or purchase a new PC with the latest operating system installed, the app should simply work as before on the Windows 8 desktop, and our tests also show Dropbox sync also works so you can keep your data in sync with other devices.
All versions should work, but as it is the latest version that has been certified we do recommend that you make sure you are using the latest and greatest version of the Perfect Diet Tracker on your computer at all times. To check to see if you have the latest version simply click on the version number in the top right of the login window in the Perfect Diet Tracker.
With the latest version of the Mac OS X, ‘Mountain Lion’ due for release soon, we can confirm the Perfect Diet Tracker has been tried and tested on the new OS.
If you purchased the app through the Mac App Store everything should ‘just work’ for you as you would expect from a Mac.
If you purchased directly from us we recommend you upgrade to the latest release to use all the new features in the new OS.
Mountain Lion has a new security feature called ‘Gatekeeper’ designed to protect you. Without getting too technical this feature means older versions of the Perfect Diet Tracker may display a warning to say they are not signed while the latest version has all the appropriate permissions and signatures so this warning will not occur.
The Perfect Diet Tracker will work with or without the warning, but we think its much nicer to have an app without warnings!
Our server updates have now been completed, and all services should be up and running on our new ‘cloud’ servers located in Ashburn, VA.
The main reason for the update was to increase capacity as the Perfect Diet Tracker continues to grow more popular and at peak times the old servers were nearing their designed capacity.
Our engineers inform us that the new ‘cloud’ server banks can handle more than 10x the load of the previous servers and can be extended in minutes to add additional capacity should spikes (or press articles!) occur.
If you do find any pages that don’t work as they should, or run into any other problems please contact us and we will take a look!
