Perfect Diet Tracker tested on Windows 8

The Perfect Diet Tracker has now been certified to work with Windows 8.

No changes will be needed if you want to upgrade to Windows 8, or purchase a new PC with the latest operating system installed, the app should simply work as before on the Windows 8 desktop, and our tests also show Dropbox sync also works so you can keep your data in sync with other devices.

All versions should work, but as it is the latest version that has been certified we do recommend that you make sure you are using the latest and greatest version of the Perfect Diet Tracker on your computer at all times. To check to see if you have the latest version simply click on the version number in the top right of the login window in the Perfect Diet Tracker.

Tested on OS X Mountain Lion

With the latest version of the Mac OS X, ‘Mountain Lion’ due for release soon, we can confirm the Perfect Diet Tracker has been tried and tested on the new OS.

If you purchased the app through the Mac App Store everything should ‘just work’ for you as you would expect from a Mac.

If you purchased directly from us we recommend you upgrade to the latest release to use all the new features in the new OS.

Mountain Lion has a new security feature called ‘Gatekeeper’ designed to protect you. Without getting too technical this feature means older versions of the Perfect Diet Tracker may display a warning to say they are not signed while the latest version has all the appropriate permissions and signatures so this warning will not occur.

The Perfect Diet Tracker will work with or without the warning, but we think its much nicer to have an app without warnings!

Server upgrades are now complete

Our server updates have now been completed, and all services should be up and running on our new ‘cloud’ servers located in Ashburn, VA.

The main reason for the update was to increase capacity as the Perfect Diet Tracker continues to grow more popular and at peak times the old servers were nearing their designed capacity.

Our engineers inform us that the new ‘cloud’ server banks can handle more than 10x the load of the previous servers and can be extended in minutes to add additional capacity should spikes (or press articles!) occur.

If you do find any pages that don’t work as they should, or run into any other problems please contact us and we will take a look!
